Margaret Blackburn-Steele

Margaret Blackburn is a Grenadian-born Attorney, and Senior Partner of Renwick & Payne.
With an avid-interest in the Law, Margaret studied in England where she became a member of Lincoln's
Inn and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1975. She returned to Grenada and was called to
the Bar of Grenada in 1975, following which she worked as Deputy Registrar before she became a
partner of Renwick & Payne less than a year after joining that firm.
Margaret is a professional in every sense of the word and practices in all areas of Law, the only
exception being criminal law. Her expertise excels in Trademark & Patent, Corporate, Probate and
Conveyancing and Mortgage Law.
Margaret was recently granted an award by the Grenada Bar Association as the Longest Serving Female
Practitioner in G renada.
Margaret is not all-work and no play and has a keen interest in gardening, fashion and music (she plays
the piano and pipe-organ and often composes and writes her own songs. Margaret also engages in
co nstructio n projects.
